A steady, thoughtful approach to care

What care looks like here

Care at Rising Tide is one-on-one and centered on listening and clinical judgment. Each visit is guided by what the patient brings into the room — whether that’s a straightforward orthopedic concern or something more complex and sensitive. The focus is on taking the time needed to understand the problem, apply care thoughtfully, and support deliberate progress.

What it’s like to be a patient

Most visits begin with conversation. Time is spent understanding what’s been going on, what’s feeling unclear or frustrating, and what the patient is hoping to work toward — without the expectation that everything needs to be neatly defined at the start.

Care moves forward collaboratively. Some patients arrive with a clear goal in mind; others are still sorting through symptoms or past experiences. Both are met where they are, with attention, respect, and a shared sense of direction for next steps.

Meet Kathy

Dr. Kathy Meacham is a licensed doctor of physical therapy (DPT) with experience treating common concerns like neck, back, and joint pain, as well as more specialized conditions including pelvic health, vestibular issues, and lymphedema. She has practiced in outpatient settings for several years, working with patients whose situations don’t always fit neatly into a standard plan. Her work is guided by clinical judgment, ongoing assessment, and a steady focus on helping people understand what’s happening in their bodies and what steps may help them move forward.

Understanding care and cost

Visits at Rising Tide are provided on a self-pay basis, which allows care to stay focused on the patient rather than insurance requirements or visit limits. Appointments are structured to support thorough evaluation, treatment, and follow-up without competing demands during the session.

Some patients may choose to use HSA or FSA funds, and others submit receipts to insurance on their own when applicable. Questions about visits, payment, or what to expect are always welcome, and additional details are available for those who want to understand how things work before scheduling.
